About Speech Therapy

Shine Therapy has a growing speech therapy team. Our therapists are trained to work with children in many areas of speech and language delays. Our therapists specialize in working with children with ASD, Down Syndrome, cognitive delays, phonological delays, articulation disorders, oral motor weakness, auditory processing disorders, and hearing loss, in naming a few. We focus on sharing our wealth of knowledge with parents and teachers to empower them to be their child's best advocates. Many of our therapists have certifications in PROMPT, TalkTools, PECS, FloorTime, Hanen approach to therapy, and more. Our therapists hold a master's degree, ASHA CCC, and are licensed in NC.

Does Your Child Need Therapy

Many of you have already had conversations with family members, doctors, or friends about some concerns. Or maybe you just have a gut feeling that your child needs help. We are happy to discuss your concerns and, if necessary, set up a time to evaluate your child in your home or school. We will share developmental milestones and work with you to ease your concerns and help your child. We believe in working as a team to help your child reach their full potential.

What does speech therapy look like?

It's fun! Your child will engage in play-based sessions to bring out their full speech potential. We will teach you how to find speech-building opportunities in every part of your day. Small changes make a huge difference.
